The invasive grey squirrel has been one of the main culprits in reducing numbers of our much loved red squirrels over the past few decades.
Grey Squirrels are cute and relatively intelligent, to that we have little argument. However, if you’re an enthusiast of watching birds In your garden and on feeder tables then no doubt you’ve run in to these pests at some point. Squirrels will quite hapily (and quickly) consume the seeds and fruits you leave out to attract wild birds.
Squirrels can also invade loft spaces of properties, causing havoc if left to roam.
It’s a little known fact that grey squirrels are now considered pests in Woodlands, where their destructive nature leads them to strip bark from trees.
